I’ve been speaking publicly since 1986 when I first discovered I had epilepsy. I thought it important to rebel. Rebel against those who told me I shouldn’t ride a bike, play outside, talk to people about the fact that I had epilepsy. How would I rebel? By speaking out and clear and letting everyone and anyone know that where there's a will there's a way!!!
- From 1988 - 1990 I was a spokesperson for the Epilepsy Foundation of America.
- From 1990 - present I have been a spokesperson for the French Foundation for Research on Epilepsy.
